Wie funktioniert "LOA 5D" der lärmarmer Belag für Straßen innerorts, den die Universität Bochum entwickelt hat? Das ist hier im Hessischen Lärmaktionsplan auf S. 21 anschaulich erklärt. Pilotversuche laufen in Darmstadt, Wiesbaden und Kassel.

In Freiburg soll "Flüsterasphalt" zukünftig an den stark belasteten Straßen verwendet werden

Freiburg beschließt Flüsterbeläge immer dann einzubauen, wenn eine Sanierung sowieso ansteht. Offensichtlich ist man in Südbaden weiter als in Nordbaden.

Was sagt das Umweltbundesamt dazu

Straßenlärm produziert Stress und macht krank, denn man kann die Ohren nicht zumachen. Deshalb empfiehlt das Umweltbundesamt lärmarme Straßenbeläge auch innerorts einzubauen. Dabei sollen neue und innovative Straßenbeläge in ihrem Langzeitverhalten von Forschern überprüft werden.

Nachhaltigkeit und Klimaschutz

Flüsterbeläge enthalten einen hohen Recyclinganteil, halten länger und brauchen für den Einbau weniger Energie. Sie sind auch deshalb die sinnvollste Option.

Contra Flüsterasphalt II

- Die Reparatur eines besonderen Straßenbelages ist durch den Bauhof nicht möglich. Erhebliche Mehrkosten für die Gemeinde - Die offenen Poren bedingen einen höheren Aufwand im Winterdienst und die Notwendigkeit von mehr Salz - Lärmschutzbeläge unterliegen einem höheren Risiko an Frostschäden Hauptproblem neben der zu hohen Durchfahrtsgeschwindigkeit der Fahrzeuge vor allem der Lastwagen sind klappernde Kanal- und sonstige Anschlussdeckel sowie Senkungen im Belag. Diese Probleme treten bei Lärmschutzbelägen ebenso auf, und vor allem viel schneller.

Lösungen könnten daher sein: - Lärmarme Sanierung vorhandener Schächte und sonstiger Deckel durch z.B. selbstnivellierender Schachtdeckel. - Verwendung dämpfender Einlagen, die das Anschlagen beim Überfahren verhindern - Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkung für LKW's

Contra Flüsterasphalt I

Die Idee ist gut, nur löst es unsere Probleme in der Hauptstraße nur teilweise und nicht langfristig: - Es gibt verschiedene „Lärmschutzbeläge“, die alle wissenschaftlich noch nicht hinreichend erforscht sind - Es gibt keine verbindliche Aussage über den Energieverbrauch beim Einbau - Derzeit wird nur der sog. Offenporige Asphalt (OPA) verwendet. Dieser eignet sich aber als Lärmschutz erst ab Geschwindigkeiten von 60 Km/h, also außerorts. - OPA ist außerdem sehr viel teurer, einbautechnisch problematisch und kurzlebig (Haltbarkeit ca. 5 Jahre)
