Der Wald ist ein Wasser- und CO2-Speicher, der verhindert, dass sich die Umgebung unangenehm erwärmt. Somit trägt er zum Erhalt des angenehmen Mikroklimas und der Wohnqualität in Nordbabelsberg bei.

37. öffentliche Sitzung des Ausschusses für Klima, Ordnung, Umweltschutz und ländliche Entwicklung

Lt. dem Wortprotokoll der öfftl. Sitzung des Ausschusses für Klima, Ordnung, Umwelt (https://egov.potsdam.de/bi/to020.asp?TOLFDNR=118001) wurde diese Fläche bereits 2016 für eine Sportstätte geprüft und NICHT empfohlen. Nach einer Änderung d. Sportstättenlärmschutzverordnung könnte jetzt allerdings ein anderes Ergebnis herauskommen. Ich finde es schade, dass die Mitglieder des Ausschusses für "Klima und Umwelt" in Potsdam diese wohl kaum erhalten wollen.

Wohnungen, Mieten

Wohnraum (insbesondere bezahlbarer) in Babelsberg ist knapp. Die Schaffung zusätzlicher Bauflächen kann die Situation entschärfen.

Betroffenheitsdebatte "not in my backyard"

Wer nicht möchte, dass Kinder einmal quer durch die Landeshauptstadt in den Sektor Z "reisen" muss, um eine Sportstätte zu erreichen, muss Zugeständnisse machen. Hier wird eine Betroffenendebatte unter dem Deckmantel des Umweltschutzes geführt, die einen übergeordneten Gemeinsinn kaum im Sinn hat. Die Behauptung, es würde sich um Naherholungsraum handeln, bleibt eine Behauptung, weil dieses Waldstück allenfalls als ruhige Hundegassistrecke genutzt wird. Und warum eine Sportstätte nicht zur Naherholung taugen soll, bleibt auch ein Rätsel!
